Ted Lasso' Renewed For Season 3 By Apple – Deadline

12.) Dark – Season 3
You like shows that are in English? Too Bad! Dark is 100% in German. But boy, it’s easily one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. The third and final season wasn’t the best season of the three, but it was still fantastic. Season 2 is perfect in every way, so it was always going to be hard to compete with that. If you can get over the fact that you’re reading subtitles and you allow yourself to be extremely confused for the majority of the show, Dark will be one of the best you ever watch.

11.) Industry – Season 1

Industry almost slipped by me this year. There’s just too many shows out there… but I blame HBO for not promoting it enough. Industry follows a group of young adults getting started in the finance business in London, and the combination of smarts, idiocy, sex, drugs, adrenaline, and anxiety made this one of my favorite new shows this year.

10.) Ted Lasso – Season 1
Almost didn’t watch this one either… maybe I’m slipping up. I guess I just didn’t see the allure in Jason Sudeikis coaching a premiership soccer team. I was wrong. Ted Lasso is hysterical and full of heart, which applies to the titular character as much as the show itself.

9.) Hanna – Season 2
There was a moment during the first episode of Season 2 where I really felt the show was regressing instead of evolving. But, as they say, patience is a freaking virtue! After a great first season, Hanna really upped it’s game for Season 2. There were times when I thought I was watching one of the Jason Bourne movies, just with a teenage girl instead. Hanna is a badass and I really look forward to my rewatch.

8.) Cobra Kai – Seasons 1,2
Cobra Kai! Cobra Kai! Cobra Kai! While these seasons technically came out on YouTube or something in previous years, Netflix gave us the gift of Cobra Kai in 2020 so it makes the list. If you like The Karate Kid at all, or if you’re a big fan of How I Met Your Mother, this show is a guaranteed hit. Constant fun, wondrous teenage angst, and probably the most I’ve ever yelled at my TV during a fight scene. (Season 2 finale holy crap).

7.) Harley Quinn – Season 2
When COVID first struck and we were stuck at home, there was one thing I looked forward to on a weekly basis, and that was Harley Quinn on Friday mornings. Coming hot off the heels of Season 1 at the end of 2019, Season 2 was just as good, if not better. The raunchy, r-rated humor is one thing, but the duo of Harley and Poison Ivy is what makes this show. Arguably one of the best duos on TV, making it must watch television.

6.) Outer Banks – Season 1
I’m just stuck in the middle of a gush-fest here, but I guess that’s what happens in the Top 10. I think I watched Outer Banks four times in 2019? I don’t even have a good reason why. The show just speaks to me. It is easy to instantly fall in love with all the characters on their treasure hunt and yes, I would die for John B.

5.) The Boys – Season 2
The Boys has taken the stigma surrounding the superhero genre and completely flipped it on it’s head. Another stellar season built on the back of the insanity of Homelander. And then why not throw in some Nazis? Never hurts.

4.) Schitt’s Creek – Season 6
After the Emmy’s, I felt inclined to give Schitt’s Creek a shot… and I proceeded to watch the whole show in a couple weeks. While it’s difficult to not lump the seasons into one, it quickly became clear that the final season was the best of this truly great comedy. Daniel Levy deserves everything he got. David!!
